Masisi drops Panzirah-Matshome from BDP committee

President Mokgweetsi Masisi has dropped a long time ally Roseline Panzirah-Matshome from the national strategy, communications and international relations sub committee of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

In a letter dated January 9, 2019 Masisi wrote: “Kindly be informed that, the national strategy and communications and international relations sub committees have been reconfigured to become the national strategy, communications and international relations sub committee. I regret to inform you that you have not been retained as part of the new dispensation. I thank you sincerely for your contribution and hope you will continue to serve the party”. 

In happier times, Panzirah-Matshome was Team Masisi’s kingpin of logistics. At the 37th BDP elective congress in Tonota in 2017 she was the famed ‘Lady in red with a beige Gucci bag’ from which she distributed money to the ‘deserving’ people throughout Masisi’s Camp Dubai.
