Govt Amends Liquor Trading Times

The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has issued new liquor trading hours, which came into effect on December 14, 2018.

“The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry wishes to inform the general public and Liquor Traders that operating times for sale of liquor have been reviewed through Statutory Instrument No. 192 of 2018, hereto referred as Liquor (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 and Statutory Instrument No. 193 of 2018, referred to as Traditional Beer (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 published in the Botswana Government Gazette of December 14, 2018,” a statement from MITI states.

Trading hours for nightclubs, festivals, and picnics have been extended significantly.
