Over P160 000 missing from First Division North coffers

PALAPYE: The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has launched an investigation against the First Division North (FDN) committee over the missing P160, 000, which was found not accounted for in the recent audit. BFA chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo told First Division North clubs at Botsalo Hotel, that a new committee would replace the suspended officials.

Mfolo said no one is guilty at this stage, until proven otherwise, as investigations continue.  The audit was for the financial year ending March 30, 2018.

He said red flags in the accounts of FDN and four other regions were raised after a BFA audit by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) accountants and auditors firm.
