Mogoditshane MP Sedirwa Kgoroba has blamed the government for incapacitation at the land board. Kgoroba said he has written to President Mokgweetsi Masisi requesting him to employ more people to enable the land board to be able to carry out its mandate. Kgoroba was speaking during the Alliance for Progressive (AP) Mogoditshane launch.

“Our main problem in Mogoditshane is our land board. It is under staffed and I wrote to the President two months ago calling on him to employ more people or close it temporarily to have the employees deal with the backlog. I am yet to get a response,” he said.

Still on land issues, Kgoroba said he was proud to have fought the government to give land to children of people who were moved to make way for residences in Ledumadumane. He said even though people were compensated, it was not enough and he spoke to the then president Ian Khama to assist. He also announced that the land board would give certificates to residents of Goo-Monang.
