Trial dates set for Mzwinila's 'obtaining by false pretences' case

FRANCISTOWN: Former Botswana National Front (BNF) legislator, Michael Mzwinila will be tried next year for allegedly obtaining by false pretences.

The state alleges that the former Gaborone North MP who was well known in political circles as an independent-minded person obtained P14,500 from Tshepiso Polai in January 2015, as payment for his plot No. 2850 in Tonota West whereas in truth and fact he (Mzwinila) does not own the said plot. 

Magistrate Kose Makoba set the trial dates for April 15 and 18 in 2019.
