The Bush Farm Sundays, an event started as part of creating positive vibes in the village of Thamaga turned into a full swing family fun day on Independence Day.

The event, which is normally hosted every last Sunday of the month at Adashe Garden Resort, had attendants relaxed in a chilled environment. For a village known for notorious gangs and violence, it was quite a surprise to see people having fun without any interference.

Bush Farm Sundays, created along similar concept as Gaborone’s popular events, Jam For Brunch and Chill Step Sundays, is a way for people to forget the city life and breathe a new and perhaps fresh air. Children also had their own fun with loads of games and kiddies activities. The organiser, Lucky Ranko told Arts & Culture after the Independence Day chill that there has been a vast growth of attendance as the event attracted more than 400 people as compared to the previous events with only 150 people in attendance.
