All 'went well' at this year’s Gaborone International Music and Culture (GIMC) festival following a tragic end to the previous show, according to law enforcement officials.

Following the death of a young woman as a result of a stampede at one of the gates at last year’s venue and several other stabbings, police were more than happy to have averted a similar scenario this year.

The police said even though instances where lads were intercepted trying to pick-pocket spectators at the festival, everything went well thanks to their readiness and proper planning from the event organisers. On Saturday night multitudes filled up the National Stadium for the much-anticipated GIMC festival and managed to impress the police.
