Rajab Mohammed of Mafika Boxing club was named Boxer of the Year at the annual Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) awards ceremony on Saturday.

He beat Mmoloki Thipe of Prisons as well as George Molwantwa of BMC to the prestigious award.

Mohammed’s achievements in the past year included getting a silver medal at the Africa Championships, which were held in Cameroon.  He also represented the country at the World Championships in Germany.
