Tragic loss of two BMD leaders

The Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) is in utter pain and sadness after losing two National Executive Committee (NEC) members during the early hours of September 5, 2018 near Tewane, when a vehicle they were travelling in had an accident during their journey to Gaborone, from a party official engagement.

This is just one of the many travels, many journeys they had dedicated their lives to. These two Mks have since the formative stages of the BMD, been the pillar of our mobilisation. 

The deceased are; Mk.  Mareledi Heben who was BMD’s NEC Member and Mk. Effie Bontsibokae who was the Deputy Secretary General of the BMD Women’s League and Member of the NEC.
