It is an open secret that Botswana Police Service (BPS) is poorly resourced ,but this has not deterred the men and women in blue from spending sleepless nights to resolve some terrible murder cases. The case in point is the speed at which Keabetswe Makgophe’s charges, within hours arrested a man suspected to have murdered and beheaded a woman and dumped her in the bush at Tlokweng last week. This is a clear testimony that police are in mean mood and criminals have nowhere to run. Staff Writer Pini Bothoko looks at few cases to buttress her point

Following the gruesome murder of three family members in Molepolole, within two weeks, four suspects, including the deceased couple’s son, were arrested.

The quartet, Tebogo Ramantosha 27, Mmoloki Tlhaelo37, Poloko Segwagwa 27 and Cornelious Saidoo 28 were recently arraigned before Molepolole Magistrate Court facing three counts of murder. The police also managed to retrieve the deceased’s television with investigations still ongoing to establish what really transpired that fateful day.
