Babitseng Takes Over As Gunners Chairperson

Tariq Babitseng is the new Extension Gunners chairman

Former Botswana Football Association (BFA) vice president, Tariq Babitseng has been elected as the chairperson of Extension Gunners during the club’s annual general meeting held on Saturday.

Babitseng took over from Hennel Kaisara who has been the chairperson of the Lobatse giants since the passing of former leader, Phenyo Gothaang.

His success in the election comes at a time when the club is battling financial problems, which have been attributed to the team’s below par performances in the league. Before the elections, Babitseng promised to hit the ground running as soon as he gets elected and push for privatisation of the club.
