Mohohlo is now UB chancellor

President Mokgweetsi Masisi has appointed former Bank of Botswana (BoB) governor Linah Mohohlo as the chancellor of the University of Botswana for a five years.

This is effect from July 19, 2018 to June 18, 2023. According to a press release from the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology, Mohohlo was the governor of BoB and ex-officio non-executive director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Botswana, for a period of 17 years to 2016.

Following a 23-year career with the bank, during which she served in a number of operational and policy areas.
