Primary schools break-ins hit on GCC budget

Gaborone councillors are concerned with the growing incidents of break-ins in some of the primary schools. This according to the city mayor Kagiso Thutlwe is affecting Gaborone City Council budget since they had to attend to broken doors and windows that they did not budget for.

“There has been a burglary in Taung on the 25/04/2018 and Notwane on the 26/04/2018 and some items were taken as well as damage to doors, locks and furniture.  The incidents were reported to the police and investigations are on going. At Tsogang they broke the burglar door and the security intercepted them and they ran away,” Thutlwe said during full council meeting yesterday.

On other issues, the mayor said on constituency projects for Ministry of Lands regarding allocation of land for the three projects of Maruapula that have not kick started.
