PALAPYE: Gaborone United (GU) converged in the village for a special assembly to address their financial predicament over the weekend, but the members who were hopeful for a turnaround strategy walked out without reassuring resolutions.

The only resolution that the assembly took was to dissolve the executive committee and hand the club to the elders committee who will run the club until a new committee is elected.

This came after the club chairperson, Boitumelo Nsunge declared to the paltry gathering that did not come close to forming a quorum that the club is in deep financial crisis. A little less than 100 members turned up for the meeting.
