Financially-troubled Gaborone United (GU) will head to Palapye for a special general meeting on Saturday as the search for a solution gathers pace.

GU spent arguably their worst season since their promotion back to the Premier League in 2005, as their season was fraught with financial land mines.

Their financier, Rapula Okaile is involved in legal battles, which saw him relinquish his post as chairperson, leaving the club in a financial hole.
