BDP Raises Millions For 2019 General Elections

As they target to win by more than 80% of the popular vote next year, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) showed that they mean business when they raised P7,890,000 at their extraordinary congress last weekend.

This time around, the party does not want any stone to be left unturned. The BDP has already started with its campaigns and preparations for the 2019 general elections.

 Some of the members who made pledges include former president Ian Khama with P1 million, Satar Dada P1 million, deputy treasure general Jackdish Shah P1 million, President Mokgweetsi Masisi P250,000, Vice President Slumber Tsogwane P250,000, BDP secretary general, Mpho Balopi P500,000 amongst others.
