Letlhakane brothers held for murder, defilement

PALAPYE: Two brothers of Metsiaela ward in Letlhakane, a 24-year-old and a 26-year-old acting jointly, allegedly stabbed a 32-year-old man of Sekwe ward after a brawl at the village's popular Down Valley Shebeen.

The two assailants and the victim had a misunderstanding, leading to a quarrel. They brothers allegedly dragged the victim outside the shebeen compound where they fought and stabbed him on the abdominal and left his intestines exposed.

The victim was immediately rushed to the Letlhakane Primary Hospital and was admitted. He went into a coma for five days and passed away on Saturday.
