PALAPYE: A 32-year-old man of Borotsi ward in Mahalapye allegedly ran over and killed his cousin, a nine-month-old baby boy at their homestead and fled the scene.

The accident happened on Saturday morning around 7 am. The man was arriving at home on his Nissan Casper when he reportedly ran over the baby.

The baby was rushed to the Mahalapye District Hospital and certified dead upon arrival.  The police have completed their investigations on the matter and the baby’s corpse has since been returned to the family to continue with the burial processes.
