A Botswana Defence Force (BDF) savingram directing all Air Arm units that former president Ian Khama must never again fly BDF aircraft as crew, has been leaked.

The memo dated May 24, 2018 from the BDF Air Arm Commander major general Innocent Phatswane directs that all air arm units to only accord Khama VIP status.

“When flying the former president you are required to accord him VIP status and the crew should be as per Air Staff Instructions (ASI),” states the memo.
