Makwala's earnings top P1million

After toil and sweat on the pitch, Isaac Makwala is finally reaping rewards after a lengthy career, with his earnings climbing to more than P1 million in just eight months.

While Makwala has made other earnings, which have not been made public, they include appearance fees.

Makwala’s prize money, which was made public, stood at P990,000 as of this week before appearance fees are even included, with more companies expected to reward the athletes for their efforts at the Commonwealth Games.
