The best artist of 2017, ATI has apologised for missing the annual Maftown Meets Pitori festival that was held at Mafikeng Rugby Stadium in South Africa on March 31, 2018.

The rapper who ruled the music scene with his hit song, ‘Khiring khiring, khorong khorong’ posted the apology on Facebook on Wednesday. ATI said the misplacement of his travel documents was the main reason he was unable to show up in Mafikeng. “We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all those that had anticipated and paid to witness the performance of ATI but to avail. Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding misplacement of my travel documents, ATI was unfortunately unable to arrive and deliver as expected on the aforementioned event,” read the apology statement.  ATI was quick to emphasise that the organisers of the Maftown Meets Pitori festival were made aware of his predicament at 10pm just two hours before his scheduled performance.

“All parties involved have reached a remedial way forward,” he stated. While ATI has missed shows locally, it was the first time he missed an event held outside the country. It is often common for foreign artists, especially South Africans, to miss local festivals, but a local artist snubbing a foreign show is a surprise.

Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
