Magistrate propose deportation of Bulgarians

Principal Magistrate Goodwill Makofi has advised state prosecution to consider deporting three Bulgarians accused of ATM money scams to avoid wasting state resources.

Makofi asked prosecution the possible sentence of the accused persons and the duration that they could take to conclude their investigations to prosecute the accused persons.

“You are also planning to further remand the accused persons in custody until trial and investigations are still ongoing. Why don’t you just deport them and save state resources. What is their possible sentence, it might be a fine hence could deal with it and deport them,” Makofi said.
