Some writing markets

I think it's time to increase your submission base and add a few markets to the ones that you’re already submitting too. Again, remember to read all submission guidelines carefully, and, to improve your chances of getting an acceptance, try to read a few issues of the magazine you’re submitting to, to get a feel for the types of things that they’re looking for.

1. One Story: One Story is a good paying but very competitive market for short stories.

Their submission periods are from January 15 - May 31 and again from September 1 - November 14. They want literary fiction between 3,000- 8,000 words. One Story pays $500 and 25 contributor copies for First Serial North American rights.
