BPL, Kabelano on collision course

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) and the organisers of the Kabelano Charity Cup are headed for a clash over the season-opening tournament.

The charity cup was last held in 2013, with Barclays as the sponsor, and Kabelano has reportedly begun negotiations with four popular clubs; Township Rollers, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Extension Gunners and Gaborone United for this year’s edition.

However, the BPL has made it clear that Kabelano cannot proceed without their approval.
