Govt bans some SA meat imports

The Ministry of Health has issued a national recall on specific ready to eat meat products from South Africa and closed the border on their importation, in the wake of a deadly disease outbreak in that country.

In a statement released this afternoon, the Ministry said all consumers in possession of the products should return them to where they bought them. Consumers will receive refunds.

'The affected products include products from Enterprise (Bokkie, Renown, Lifestyle and Mieliekip); and Rainbow products (Polony, Russian and Viennas).
