Murderous suspect claims self-defense

A man who nearly killed his girlfriend after stabbing her nine times with a knife claims that he was the victim in the attack.

Oageng Moagi Letsholo, 40, who faces an offence of unlawfully wounding after stabbing his girlfriend, Kediemetse Sebopi with a knife on December 18, 2017 at Old Naledi in Gaborone, told the court that he was only defending himself.

Appearing before Extension II magistrate, Ntombizodwa Ncube, Letsholo told the court that the victim, in this case being Sebopi, deserved what happened to her.
