Promotion Battle intensifies In First Division South League

The battle for the top spot in the Debswana First Division South league continued over the weekend as Prisons XI leapfrogged Notwane at the summit on Saturday.

The Warders defeated Black Peril 1-0 and returned to winning ways after hitting a slump in the last two games. Notwane on the other hand survived a scare after their long trip to Tsabong.

Rangers who have proved to be a tough customer in their own backyard took the lead in the first half but Notwane’s exciting attacker, Tlhalefo Molebatsi came to Notwane’s rescue and levelled matters with about 10 minutes remaining as the two sides settled for a 1-1 draw.
