Dibotelo says goodbye

Chief Justice, Maruping Dibotelo will be stepping down from the judicial chair in two months as he has reached the retirement age of 70 for High Court Judges.

During his last official Opening of the Legal Year this morning, Dibotelo said as per the Constitution he would be handing the baton to his successor to build on the foundations laid.

“On April 30, 2018, some two months from now I shall also be passing the button of leadership of the judiciary. It has not always been smooth sailing as in any organisation and work environment there will be turbulences and storms which ought to be calmed,” he said.
