FRANCISTOWN: The councillor for Kanana ward, Cornelius Gopolang could contest in the next round of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) parliamentary primary elections slated for October this year.

Gopolang told Mmegi on Tuesday that he will throw his hat in the ring once the BDP sanctions aspiring candidates to express interest to contest in the next round of the primary elections that are popularly known as Bulela Ditswe in the vernacular.

All BDP candidates - council and parliamentary - are expected to formally express their interest in May.
