Botswana Football Association (BFA) vice president, Marshlow Motlogelwa says they are delighted that they have entered into an agreement with one of the greatest football leagues in the world, Spanish La Liga.

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with La Liga with the latter providing expertise as the BPL attempts to turn professional. Motlogelwa said La Liga is a well known institution and that the agreement is not only a milestone for Botswana but the entire region.

“La Liga and our league are miles apart and we stand to benefit a lot from this agreement because we will learn a lot from them. They have been in the game longer than us and have done extremely well,” he said. He said it is imperative that Botswana is open to learning and that a great opportunity like this one cannot be missed.
