The  cake, which has set tongues wagging, was purchased for his birthday party held at his restaurant, My Kind of Place (MKOP) this past weekend. Upon posting a picture of the cake which weighs 30kg on social media, it became the talk of town.

My News caught up the birthday boy who waxed lyrical about the cake and his lifestyle generally. “It’s all about what makes you happy. That’s why I spend the way I do,” he said, arguing that while some people give away their monies to church, others spend it with their friends or buy what they love.

“I wanted something that could reflect the day I was born. I wanted to celebrate in a special way. It’s an exciting thing because it’s the first time this happens in the country. I am happy to have set up the trend,” said Nkgakile.

The cake looks like a Louise Vuitton Bag packed to the brim with foreign currencies from around the world. A Range Rover key on the side and a picture of him wearing a suit, complete the decadent look.

The design of the cake, he stated, resembles his life. That includes the fact that he is now into foreign currency trading. The Rover key resembles the one for the car he is currently driving. The Louise Vuitton bag is part of his travelling luggage.

He also noted that the cake was processed in a way that it will last for the next five years. He however stated that he knows that there are people talking bad about his lifestyle, how he is spending money after the cake

stunt, but noted that he does not let negativity and petty talk detract him from what he does.

The cake left many wondering how a 29-year-old can purchase a cake of such an amount and it led to some asking how he acquires such huge amounts of money and afford to spoil himself in such a way.

“I am a hard working young man who is an entrepreneur. I am into investing into everything that makes money.

I do not set limits on myself. I grew up very poor and worked hard to be where I am. I do not want to experience poverty ever again, which is why I spoil myself, look after my family and still work hard”.

The 29-year-old is a politician, farmer, managing director of MKOP restaurant, events promoter and is looking forward to owning more property. He stated that his next big goal is to be the president of Botswana and is certain that he will be one very soon.

“I joined politics last year. It’s always believed that it is a platform for old people, but we want to change that. We as young people have to be in politics.

I am optimistic that I will be president one day because in every circle I get into I always dominate,” he said.

He recalled of the days when life was still tough growing up, stating that at some point they ate chicken feet and vegetables just for him and his family to survives. Having acquired all the wealth he has, Nkgakile said he will only rest when he becomes the President of Botswana
