Nata Police acting station commander, Phetogo Philimon has called on the public to assist with leads into the arrest of Nata Pep Stores robbers who got away with P71,000 last Christmas Eve.

According to Philimon, the culprits cut the corrugated iron and ceiling of the store. "They went in through the manager's office and blasted the safe there using explosives.  They then went back up using ropes before escaping," he said.

Philimon said the incident took place while it was raining. "We received a report from an anonymous caller who was by Engen Filling Station across the road from the lone standing Pep Stores around 4am stating that he saw people in the shop. Unfortunately when we got there they had already gotten away," he said
