Nono Siile
After hosting a listening session on November 4, Afro jazz star, Nono Siile will host a pre-launch of her fourth offering entitled Kwete at Millenium Jazz Restaurant in Mogoditshane on Saturday.

Douglas Mosadi, Banjo Mosele, Shanti Lo, Kearoma Rantao and Trinity Mpho will support the singer who started her career by winning My African Dream. The album, an extended play show organised by Zen Promotions, will start at 6pm.

Real name, Boitumelo Siile, she derives her influence from the likes of the legendary late Duncan Senyatso and the soulful Thandiswa Mazwai. Born March 31, 1980 in Gaborone, this inner traveler aims to have 10 albums in four years from now.

Nono’s exceptional résumé speaks volumes. Her ever growing list of concerts and performances consist of Mascom Live Sessions, Goledzwa 2016 in Francistown, Hamptons, Lekhubu Island (Race for Rhinos), Bopeu Live

Concert (alongside Tshepo Tshola), BDP Rally, Botswana High Commission (Independence - Tokyo Japan), Blue Note, Calabash and the annual Son of the Soil alongside an array of renowned artists. Her future itinerary includes a South African Tour, Zimbabwe, Namibia and a few other countries overseas. She released her hit debut, Kgarebe in 2007 and she is among the growing number of Batswana artists who are full-time working musicians. “I have been very lucky. Attendance at my shows has been very good. People are very appreciative of my work. Whenever I stage a show, calls can’t stop coming in. I really appreciate their patronage,’’ she says.
