Edwin Moalosi scored a last minute equaliser to deny GU who had gone 2-1 up in the 90th minute through Thatayaone Kgamanyane. The game, despite producing four goals, started off at a low pace with fewer chances created in the first half. The only chances created were two free kicks awarded to Rollers. Both Moalosi and Segolame Boy tested GU goalkeeper, Goitseone Phoko but he managed to deal with them. However, with one minute remaining before the two sides went to the halftime break, Moalosi started a move from the midfield and played a one-two with Mthokozisi Msomi who wasted no time in releasing the ball back to Moalosi. The nippy attacker beat Phoko with a cracker to give Rollers the lead before halftime.
GU responded eight minutes into the second half with a stunning strike of their own from Tumisang Orebonye. GU then took control of the match and were nearly rewarded when Kgamanyane found himself one-on-one with Rollers goalkeeper, Kabelo Dambe but failed to capitalise. Boy also found himself in a good space moments later, but rushed his shot which went wide with GU defence caught napping. The game appeared destined for a 1-1 draw until Kgamanyane received the ball in a good position in the box. This time he made no mistake and slotted past Dambe to send GU supporters into wild celebrations. However, Moalosi equalised in the additional minutes to deny GU victory. It was Rollers’ third consecutive draw, but they remain unbeaten. Speaking to journalists after the game, GU coach, Rodolfo Zapata said he was happy with the performance of his charges although he was disappointed that they lost two points. Rollers coach, Nikola Kavazovic also congratulated GU for their performance on the day. He said it was their toughest game so far since the beginning of the season and disappointed that they could not create many chances.
