The deadline for the clubs to have fully complied with Club Licensing was Tuesday, but it has now been moved to the end of November.

Outgoing chairperson of the body, Mfolo Mfolo has said the BPL board sent a request asking for extension of the deadline and advanced valid reasons hence they acceded to the call.

“The BPL through their board, requested that we extend the deadline to the end of November. What was left behind in most of the clubs was the financials. Most of the clubs had expressed that it was too costly for them to engage auditors,” Mfolo said.

He said the board, in their request for the extension, stated that the Premier League clubs have now received their grants, which will enable them to engage auditors.

committee then accepted the request since the reasons put forward were valid. He however, maintained that those who will fail to fully comply will have their provisional licences revoked despite having already participated in the league this season.

One of the clubs that were initially left behind were Kgatleng giants, Mochudi Centre Chiefs who announced this week that they have since submitted all that was outstanding.

Through their general manager, Zaahid Jalal, Magosi announced on their Facebook page that they have since submitted the required documents.

“We wish to inform you that the administration has successfully submitted all required documents including audited finances and youth development compliance process has been updated. We will await the final verdict of the First Instance Body to fully licence the club,” the club said.
