The Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU) awards turned out to be a complete disaster on Saturday night as the event was disorganised.

The awards seemed more like a primary school prize giving event gone wrong if not worse. At the VIP section, the organisers failed to arrange seats for different dignitaries that would accommodate and make them feel comfortable. The VIP section was packed to the rafters making it hard for some revellers to stand up for some time before being given seats.

As if that was not enough, the awards presenters were seated on the same section with the media and some of the award nominees, which made it hard for them to have free movement. Some of the VIP guests went home in empty stomachs as the ushers did a horrible job ensuring that all VIP guests access their meal as per invitation only.
