President Ian Khama has stepped in to halt the much-anticipated P100 million Gaborone Golf Club (GGC) revamping project. Khama made the announcement during the reopening of the clubhouse and prize-giving ceremony of the Lady Khama Charitable Trust tournament on Friday.

Khama said he has been aware of the project for some time now but had not been given convincing reasons for the developments. Gaborone Golf Club (GGC) captain, Martin Mogomela said the problem is that they are not aware of the terms of the project or where the funding would come from.
