Khama Encourages BUAN To Provide Practical Solutions

President Ian Khama is the new BUAN Cousellor

President Ian Khama envisions an agricultural university where teaching, research and civic engagement are espoused to their greatest potential. Further, he said the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN), as an institution that aspires to be of international repute, there is need to always update the curriculum to offer differentiated and competitive programmes that offer the best.

Khama made the remarks during his acceptance speech as BUAN Chancellor on Friday. BUAN also celebrated its 50th anniversary during the occasion of the President’s installation.

“In addition, the research output must provide practical solutions that can be adopted by our society,” he added.
