Minergy discovers more coal reserves at Masama

Coal and energy company, Minergy Limited has discovered more coal reserves at its Masama Coal Project, which it considers to be of better quality than previously indicated.

The Botswana Stock Exchange-listed company made the announcement this week following the recent completion of a Competent Persons Report (CPR).

Comparing the 2016 and 2017 estimates, Minergy chief executive officer, Andre Bojé said the total coal resource for the project area increased from 347.1 million tonnes to 389.9 million tonnes, an improvement of 12%.
