Hotheaded BDP trio explores reconciliation

FRANCISTOWN: Three Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) hotheads who allegedly assaulted a fellow member at a party function are still in the process of settling their matter out of court.

The court heard on Monday that the trio, Chidzani Mokgwebe, Boago Mosarwane and Otsile Moses, would like to lay the matter to rest.  They are accused of assaulting Otto Masogo by slapping him in the face and bashing him with chairs and desks at Donga Community Junior School on March 11, 2017.

Directorate of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) Archie Makgoa told magistrate Lebogang Kebeetsweng that the state was not opposed to reconciliation overtures that the accused are currently exploring in order to bring the matter to finality.
