Botswana Sectors of Educators and Trade Union (BOSETU), is set to announce its insurance brokerage company when its funeral services company, BOFUS, meets in Palapye on October 28, for its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

At its last AGM, it was announced that the insurance brokerage had been registered and a detailed business plan was in place. BOSETU, however, was yet to be given the go-ahead by the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA).The launch of the insurance brokerage is expected to see BOSETU members enjoying more insurance based services.

It is speculated that a leading insurance company could be unveiled as the strategic partner following discussions last year. It is hoped that members will enjoy high improved benefits to their dependents particularly parents and extended family. The move to underwrite would provide the BOSETU funeral scheme business the opportunity to now release accumulated funds for other investment prospects.
