Ten people die over Independence holidays

The police have recorded an increase of deaths over the Independence Day holidays as compared to the same period last year.

This year 10 people died in 10 fatal road accidents that occurred throughout the country during the holidays as compared to six people who died during the same period last year.

In a media release, the Botswana Police Service (BPS)’s public relations officer, assistant commissioner Dipheko Motube said in all, a total of 239 road accidents were recorded throughout the country compared to 266 during the same period last year.
