The five Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) presidential hopefuls will go head-to-head in a televised debate at Tlotlo Conference Centre tomorrow evening.

The aspirants are former Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Ookeditse Malesu, BNOC vice president, Botsang Tshenyengo, Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) president, Daniel Molaodi, Botswana Netball Association (BONA) president, Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego and former Commonwealth Games boxing medallist, France Mabiletsa. It is a tight contest, too close to call at the moment, with affiliates expected to make a decision on October 7. Outgoing president, Negroes Kgosietsile is stepping down after 16 years at the helm. The burning matter for the winning candidate would be the role clarity between the Botswana National Sport Commission and the BNOC. There were turf wars in the tripartite which included the dissolved Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR).

Two candidates have raised a matter regarding a transgression in the elections where members of the BNOC board have been allowed to contest, which they argue is contrary to the constitution. Tomorrow night, the BNOC affiliates would have a clearer picture of what the candidates possesses after the televised debate.

Each of the 10 beautiful young women had supporters...
