UDC may suspend BMD

The formation of a new party, Alliance for Progressives (AP) does not necessarily mean the Sidney Pilane-led Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) will automatically assume their seat on the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC).

The Pilane team still has to account for what happened at Matshekge Hill Secondary School ill-fated congress. 

In the verdict read by the UDC leader, Duma Boko on Tuesday, the coalition partners found that the environment leading up to and including that which prevailed at Matshekge was not conducive to the running of a free and fair congress.
