Kgatleng District will be hosting a beauty pageant dubbed Miss Independence Kgatleng, a cultural pageant that aims at fighting social illnesses such as teenage pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse.

The pageant started in 2015 and this year, it will be held on Saturday at Ledingwana Guest House along A1 road just after Rasesa by Malotwana junction.

According to the event founder and coordinator Lebopo Bulayani, the objective of the pageant is to empower a girl child through life skills development and trainings.
