LOBATSE: The drug possession trial of Lone Thabang Kgathi is scheduled to commence this morning before Chief Magistrate Mareledi Dipate. The son of Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Shaw Kgathi, and three others are facing charges of cocaine possession.

Kgathi (23) of Broadhurst is charged alongside Tumisang Tlhaelang (24), Kgosietsile Dihutso (25), both Phakalane residents and Alphious Raditladi (25) of Block 5.

They face a single count of unlawful possession of the substance believed to be habit-forming cocaine. Details of the case are that at least 41 packages of cocaine were confiscated during their arrest on October 12, 2016 at a police roadblock in Pitsane.
