Lesotho educational trip called off

An educational trip by 47 students from various junior and senior secondary schools to Lesotho has been put on hold following instability in the mountain kingdom, authorities in the Ministry of Basic Education have said.

The students and ministry officials were due to have left for Lesotho yesterday for a Maths, Science and Technology Fair.

“The students have not departed to Lesotho because the Fair has been called off by the organising committee in view of the latest developments in Lesotho,” said the ministry’s spokesperson, Gorata Mokaloba.
