GIMC Music Festival Continues To Attract Large Crowd

The Gaborone International Music and Culture (GIMC) Week’s music festival successfully attracted a large number of audience on Saturday.

Multitudes of young and hyper patrons had already thronged the event in the evening. The music festival has shown significant growth over the years. By late evening, hundreds had already begun to pack up the National Stadium and local deejays started to fire-up the place.

However, around 1900hrs, there was a stampede at the gates as many revellers who flocked to the event fought and pushed to enter the stadium. Even though the organisers had tried to beef up security, it seemed that it was not enough as the population of revellers, who flocked to the event outnumbered the security guards.
