The board members have all promised a better future

A beckon of change has finally hit Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS) after new board members were voted in at the annual general meeting (AGM) held at Paddock Centre in Gaborone over the weekend.

The elections, handled by an independent organisation, Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO), went on as planned even though the members did not form a quorum.

The members elected on the day included six representatives from the music category, two from associations and one from the Ministry Of Investment Trade and Industry. The musicians voted in on the day included Tomeletso Sereetsi of Sereetsi and Natives and Game ‘Zeus’ Bantsi both from Team Real change. Veteran artists Alfredo Mosimanegape and Mpho Nakedi from Team Bagaka were also voted in. Trinity Mpho, who is based abroad, was among the members voted in alongside Winani Kambutu.
