Two police officers are hospitalised at Bokamoso Private hospital with serious injuries after their vehicles collided following a chase with suspected robbers. The accident, left a constable and special constable nursing serious injuries after the police vehicles they were driving collided at Gaborone, Block 10 last Tuesday.

The Monitor has learnt that the police were chasing suspects who allegedly attacked a businessman in Gabane in the early hours of Tuesday. Five men are said to have attacked the unnamed businessman when he was about to enter his residence.

He, however managed to press the security emergency button, which alerted security officers manning his place. The security officers responded by calling the police, who responded quickly. It is said that the suspects then fled the scene upon seeing the police car driving towards them, which forced the police to chase them.
